I bought a used Miata from Garlyn and the car was just as described. Jonathan the sales guy was great and knowledgeable about the car. The purchase was easy and no hard sell on optional items. I had to leave the car for a couple of weeks while I arranged to pickup the car and they were very accommodating. Top marks! I wished I lived closer for services!

I recently purchased a new Mazda CX-30 from this dealership. From the moment I got there it was a wonderful experience. I was recently in a car accident so I was a little rattled looking for a new vehicle. My sales guy Sal made me feel so at ease. I can't say enough good things about him. I got a great price on the car without the ridiculous back and forth you have to do at other dealers. John from finance was great also. All my expectations are always met. I've never had any problems or hassles with these guys. Personnel are all down to earth yet professional. I use them for all my vehicles.

My wife and I stopped in to look at a new car. Eric Pope was the salesman that assisted us. He is very knowledgeable. Not just about the car but also the Mazda brand, which was impressive. When we were looking the car over, Eric knew the answer to every question. As we test drove it, he was informative of the interior features and pointed out things we didn't even think of. Needless to say, he sold us on it. He helped us through the trade in process and stayed after hours to make sure we were accommodated. All with a smile on his face and great attitude. We have purchased from Garlyn Shelton Nissan in the past, but this was the first time at their Mazda dealership. The facility is clean and well organized. I've contacted Eric with questions in the weeks since the purchase and he's always quick to respond and happy to help. We would definitely purchase from Garlyn Shelton Mazda and Eric Pope again.

This dealership actually cares about their customers. First the sales process was easy, no hard selling tactics or sleazy sales people. The Sales Manager and Finance Manger are top notch. I had a great experience buying my 2023 Nissan Rogue Platinum. I found my car online and they actually had it on the lot. It was not a bait and switch. I met Jonathan at the lot and he did a great job explaining the things on my car as well as with the sell. I highly recommend him and Garlyn Shelton Mazda.

Will use again because of the great customer service received from Landon and the service team via video. Entire experience from scheduling to service completion was very impressive.

I purchased a vehicle and it went in for 1st service. There were a few issues. I thought that they were trying to take advantage of me. But to my surprise, the service manager Bobby Dodd was incredible. He is a rare person in today's world .He went above and beyond all expectations. They came directly to check the vehicle and fix all issues, I would definitely recommend dealing with garlyn Shelton and Bobby. Great people.

Was very pleased with the customer service, Specifically Jonathan Sawyer, over at Garlyn Shelton Mazda here in Temple. Despite my hard lines, these guys were able to make a great deal go through. I had a great experience from sales, to deal, to conclusion. John in finance and the GSM Marshall were both great as well. Looking forward to the new car!

EDIT on 3/31/2025: I got an alert from my credit monitoring saying my balance owed on my car went down by $2950. It looks like the extended warranty company deducted by the pro-rated amount. I’ll change the stars from 2 to 4. Have gotten oil, filter and tire rotations with a pre-paid plan twice with no issues thus far. Make sure you schedule an appointment ahead of time! —————————————————————————— First off, I’d like to say that the sales and maintenance departments do a phenomenal job keeping customers satisfied. I purchased my first new Mazda CX-5 from Eric back in December 2023. He’s very knowledgeable and approachable. I’ve had two maintenance visits since the purchase, and the service team does an outstanding job with timeliness and candidness (video link post-maintenance and repair sheet) The finance manager.. I’ve had few interactions with and have been dishonest with me. He sold me an extended warranty package and said I can cancel it anytime. I came back within 30 days of purchase to cancel; and he said he submitted the document and everything was good to go (as shown in the picture) on my first maintenance visit in May, he said “oh, maybe it didn’t register in the system, give it a few more months” On my second maintenance visit earlier this week, he said “that’s funny, it shows on my end that it’s cancelled” but failed to provide me with evidence that it actually was. He then proceeded to hand me the Firstguard contact information With benefit of doubt in mind, I called the Firstguard people and they said they never received the cancellation request from a year ago. He then handed me a cancellation request and told me to try again and to just backdate the request to last year and hope for the best. The finance manager has been lying to me the entire time! And to try to get me to act in the same dishonest manner by filling out a new request with a previous date that he wants no part of. I’ve been paying extra for an entire year (and who knows for how much longer) so that he can collect extra commission on his paycheck. Ive been really let down by this overall experience and the fact that every sale has to go through a finance manager really doesn’t encourage me to recommend this place to other people. Just head down to Roger Beasley instead.

I had an appointment for an oil change, I got there a few minutes early. I was waited on immediately. While I was waiting, I got a video on what they were doing to my car and what needed to be done. Got it all done and a car wash too! It was a really good experience! Good job guys!!

The last few times I have taken in my car for maintenance it has been a pleasure. The staff is friendly. The people who check you in are friendly. I appreciate their hard work they do.

Service Tech is always nice but the Sales Staff never listen to me. My inspection listed a strut replacement and alignment and since that, I have received two other different prognosis. Not happy. I feel like I'm always taken advantage of as a single woman when i walk in.

The service department is excellent. However, I get really tired of getting an oil change and receiving three emails, text messages, and phone calls wanting me to trade in my two year old car every time I have service done here. It’s very annoying!

This is my 3rd Mazda, the first time from Garlyn Shelton. The service was friendly and the staff was knowledgeable. I was always a Mazda 3 girl before but now that I'm old as dirt, SUVs are so much more my speed. You can't beat the warranty. I do wish they had something more like Onstar on the Mazda line but the ride of the CX5 is soooo smooth and quiet that I am still an extremely happy fat girl.

I was in the market for a Ford bronco or Mazda CX50 for a while now. I’ve done my research about car-buying, dealerships and know well enough they can be stressful. I went in this dealership just to “shop around” since I know I have a lot of options where I’m at in central texas. My husband and I were greeted by our lovely salesman Mr. Eric Pope who was incredibly helpful. He was pleasant, professional, and very transparent. They did not have the exact color of CX50 i want but Eric found a way somehow to get the exact car I wanted and had it ready for me a day later. I was offered below msrp discount, plus my Mazda Loyalty and Military discount. All these with no extra hidden fees, unlike other dealerships. They gave me a fair deal for my trade-in and Their financing is a great option if you have great credit. Ultimately why I still chose Mazda, reliable, great snd fun-to-drive cars and most importantly, honest and transparent staff who will not scam you. Thank you again, Mazda and to Eric who was super great!!! 10/10 would recommend.
